Esteemed Delegates, Parents, and Advisors,

I am honored to welcome you to the third iteration of Washington International Model United Nations! Throughout the year, our passionate secretariat and dedicated staff teams have been working diligently to deliver a conference where you will gain memorable experiences, critical research, leadership skills, and a wealth of knowledge. WAIMUN 2024 is ecstatic to announce sustainable development as its theme for the year. Delegates will be introduced to a diverse set of committees that address issues pertaining to multiple sectors of sustainability.

WAIMUN 2024 is excited to expand to eight committees for a never-before-seen conference structure. We are elated to announce that WAIMUN will have a HYBRID structure, with one day solely dedicated to in-person committees (Saturday), and another towards online committees (Sunday). With this unique committee structure, delegates are encouraged to attend both or either in-person or online options. More information can be found in our Conference tab.

With our committees ranging from beginner to advanced, each delegate can implore their interests toward diplomacy. With varying committees from the Future Crisis Committee to bizarre committees like the International Dairy Foundation, making WAIMUN ideal for novice to seasoned delegates.
